With the support of CHDS* the ILBS Nepal is organizing a Dental Orientation Class at the Shree Panauti Lower Secondary School, Nepal. On the 20th November 2011, a dental assistant will visit the school and teach the children:
- About risks and diseases which rise after neglecting dental health care About diet and healthy nutrition How to brush teeth in an appropriate way
- After two weeks a Dental Health Camp will take place next to the school. A dental assistant will be there with the full dentist’s equipment. There all children can have a free dental check-up and treatment.
The ILBS Nepal is providing toothbrushes and toothpaste for each child. To maintain sustainability we are motivating the teachers to brush the teeth with the children every day after half-time. Our local volunteer guarantees that the program will be organized sufficiently and gives support on the spot.
Every half a year a dental assistant from the CHDS will return to the school and check the dental health of the children.
In future the ILBS Nepal wants to run the Dental Health Project in rural areas.
We believe in “small is beautiful”.
If you feel you can support us with a small contribution or a regular subscription, it would make a lot of folks really happy!
